The animal free, vegan 'hair' has been made using advanced technology and has exceptional antibacterial properties, gives professional results and feels super soft against delicate skin.

Bamboo Handle

Affordable, sustainable, recyclable, renewable and organic: our bamboo embodies all of these qualities. Bamboo absorbs 35 per cent more carbon dioxide than an equivalent stand of trees and can grow anywhere without the need of fertilizers or chemicals.

The complete process of transforming raw bamboo into a ready to use brush handle has a low environmental impact.  Preparation of raw bamboo is chemical free and from steaming under pressure, kiln drying to hot pressing into shape, the only liquid used is simply, water! The whole brush production process has minimal impact on our environment and no formaldehyde or toxic glues are used in any part of manufacture.

Bamboo Facts:

• Bamboo is derived from sustainable sources and can be harvested in 3-5 years compared to 10-50 years for most traditional wooden brush handles.

• Some species grow as much as four feet a day.

• We do not use the same species of bamboo that pandas eat!

• It has a tensile strength that rivals steel and weight-to-strength ratio surpassing that of graphite (its pretty tough stuff!)

• bamboo is as hard as  red oak

Beauty Therapy Students Brush with New Technique

"Beauty therapy students at the college had make up training, workshops and demonstrations on Tuesday 22nd with Carol Wilson and Kate Lyon from Pro Makeup Brushes. Kate and Carol demonstrated how to apply makeup with a new system of numbered brushes which work with any brand of makeup. The students were given two demonstrations – one a bridal makeup and the other a funky look with smokey eyes. The students were then given time to try out what they had seen on each other"
